Found Him

My mom told me years ago about my grandfather, whom she saw regularly, but infrequently in Chicago. She told me he played ball in the Negro leagues and that he had other children. I wanted to know about those other children and the Negro leagues, so I casually looked him up whenever I came across a free trial on a genealogy site. Well, the trial didn't pay off, but a free site called familysearch.org did. Now I have a thread..maybe I'll bump into something.

The 1930 census shows my grandfather living with his brother Van, and no parents. All the boys, excluding Leon, and including a new brother named Oralen are all under Van's roof.

I dislike the post office. The lethargy just grates on me. And the chatty nature of the attendants when the line is out the door doesn't sit we'll with me either, especially when I just have a quick transaction. Pray for me. Please.
